Plus, you are allowed to specify the size of the picture, cross size (stitches/inch), number of repeats and overlapping options, preview the photo, alter the background color, and fill the picture with stitches.
Digitize N Stitch Serial Number
** When will I receive the Serial Number email? The serial number will be e-mailed from S&S Computing usually within within minutes of your purchase, but within 12 hours max - it's a manual process. While your registration is being processed, the software is functional unless you have an expired demo version.
** Don't purchase from an Unauthorized Seller that's selling illegal registration numbers! This software is manufactured by S&S Computing and they only have select Authorized Resellers - they are all listed as scrolling images on the bottom of their home page - . If your registration information doesn't include YOUR name - you have an illegal serial number. I've been selling S&S Computing software since 2008, and my customers love how easy it is to use and that it's so inexpensive compared to other programs!

We shall try to improve our digitized LAMS logo that we presented in the Stitch Era - simple digitizing article. The result was printable and not even too ugly. However it had one big major flaw. By looking at the stitched logo, it was impossible to understand that the sheep had an iPod and probably listened to some podcast about embroidery on wool.
One important thing was to figure out how to cut a path... and we can't remember how we managed. Split object is only available in the commercial version. Of course, only always could back-translate a stitch path to a vector, then split the vector and digitize again.
Hi, when upgrading, you will need to wait for a new serial number to be sent to you to activate to the higher tier. This can take several days. Then you must deactivate Chroma and reactivate it with your new serial number. You already have the software downloaded if you are upgrading. There is no CD.

If you purchased Chroma directly through the shop, check your spam folder to see if the email with your serial number is there. If it's not there, please email our service team at service@ricoma.com. If you got Chroma with your machine and it has already shipped, contact your account coordinator.
Embroidery quotes are based on stitch count. The bigger and more complex the logo, the longer it takes to digitize and sew. When you request a quote, our Logo Specialists will evaluate your logo to determine what works best for you.To embroider your design we need to digitize it, allowing us to plot the position, size and direction of every single stitch. This gives us total control over the finished products.
Applique design is achieved by integrating a piece of cloth or material in a design. This is done to create a specific look of a design or then to reduce number of stitches applied in the embroidery process.
There are a few steps you need to take to get your embroidery machines ready to stitch out your digitized company logo or design. First you need to inform the machine about the design elements by selecting the proper needles, threads, orientation, and embroidery sequence. Make sure that your machine has your required thread colors. Next, position your products or fabric in your embroidery loops or embroidery frames and slide them into the arms of the embroidery machine.
For your convenience, you can either send us your own original art work or you can choose from our vast database of more than 30,000 pre-digitized, stock designs. To select a design from this database, click here or click on the links in the Custom Digitizing or Quote Form sections of this Website. You can browse major categories in the database or search through it using keywords. Then simply note the design number in the appropriate field on our Quote Form. Whether you upload your own logo design or choose from ours we will respond to you quickly with a free quote on contract digitizing services, stock logo purchase, and contract embroidery prices for your project. You can provide special instructions on logo placement, thread colors, or other important information regarding your design. If you are sending us original designs it is important for you to send us the best quality and most accurate art work you have available.
When you digitize, you want everything to stitch in the right sequence. For example, small details of the design should be stitched last. Also, when embroidering on hats, the machine should stitch from the center and then outward to prevent puckering.
Jump stitches are the extra threads left on the embroidered design. This happens when the needle travels from one area of the design to another, dragging the thread as it goes. Jump stitches can be due to a poorly digitized design where the needle moves randomly from one area to another. This is typical when the design sequence is not taken into consideration during digitizing. Having many jump stitches results in a much more labor-intensive embroidery experience since you have to trim them manually. Jump stitches can also cause puckering, which makes your embroidered designs look low quality.
You can reduce jump stitches by avoiding designs that are more likely to jump. Designs that are mostly made of running stitches tend to have more jump stitches. A running stitch is a basic stitch used for underlay, outlining, and detail work. All in all, a well-digitized design that stitches out in the correct order will have minimal jump stitches.
Creating your digitized file is easy! Draw your design, or edit one of the 500 designs (300+ embroidery and 200+ machine applique) in the library. Then choose the best fill, underlay and edge stitching for your design. Use the automatic sort threads tool before you write the file to eliminate unnecessary thread color changes when stitching. Watch a simulation of the stitching to see exactly how the design will stitch. Go back and make changes before exporting the file.
See your Stitchings on your quilts! There is no other product on the market that allows complete quilt design AND the ability to digitize embroidery and machine applique in one! Each time you save a stitching design, an embellishment gets added to your Sketchbook as well. Embellishments are used on Layer 3 of your quilt layout for positioning your design. If your embellishment looks too small for your quilt, go back to the Stitching worktable, adjust the size of the design (including the hoop size most likely) and Add to Sketchbook again. A NEW embellishment of the right size will be ready for you to use on your quilt.

Ordinarily, we prefer to do our own digitizing in order to control and be able to assume complete responsibility for ultimate quality of the finished embroidered garment. Digitizing quality is undoubtedly the principal determinant of the final embroidery result. However, we recognize that you may have previously digitized files from other custom embroiderers, and if you were pleased before, you will certainly be happy with us! Please be aware that we can only perform limited edits on embroidery files digitized by third parties. You can email your digitized files to DESIGNS with your company name and reference number in the subject line. Sew & Sew Embroidery assumes customer is familiar with design quality and cannot be held responsible for how your design sews. Should any corrections/adjustments be needed, let us know on your PO. Tape edits start at $25.00.
For new logo designs that we have not previously embroidered, the client generally submits artwork for a quotation, along with basic information on logo placement (e.g, left chest, cap front, sleeve), type of material (e.g, cotton pique, fleece, terry cloth) and the likely number of pieces to be embroidered. We will promptly reply with both a digitizing quote (including any suggestions regarding the size and design modifications) and an estimated embroidery price. As part of the quote, we will provide you with information on the estimated number of stitches in the design so that you can also determine embroidery costs on your own using our price list. Once the quote is approved by you, we complete the digitizing and provide the client a sew out or digital proof of the newly digitized logo. 2ff7e9595c
